Lauren Stamile has landed the lead in Lifetime’s original movie Nora Roberts’ Midnight Bayou, based off her best-selling novel. Stamile is set to play the character Lena Simone. The film also stars Jerry O’Connell and Faye Dunaway.
Midnight Bayou focuses on Harvard-educated lawyer Declan Fitzpatrick(O’Connell), who decides on a whim to buy a restored Louisiana plantation house with a reputation for being haunted. As soon as he moves in, Declan starts hearing voices and seeing apparitions. A second story thread is his growing attraction to a Cajun woman, Lena, with a mysterious connection to the mansion. Declan’s voices and visions start to coalesce into recognizable events from the long-ago past. With the help of Lena and her grandmother, they uncover a shocking secret, hidden for more than a century.
